RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) has officially announced new public transport fares from Rawalpindi to various destinations across Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
The revised transport fares for key destinations are as follows:
Public transport fares for Neelum Valley, Upper Regions
Leepa: Rs. 1,900
Neelum Valley: Rs. 1,750
Athmuqam: Rs. 1,500
Kattan: Rs. 1,400
Reshian: Rs. 1,800
Muzaffarabad: Rs. 850
Kohala: Rs. 600
Poonch and Bagh districts
Hajira: Rs. 1,500
Abbaspur: Rs. 1,360
Banjosa: Rs. 1,150
Trarkhel: Rs. 1,150
Tangi Gala: Rs. 1,050
Rawalakot: Rs. 1,060
Bagh: Rs. 1,050
Baloch: Rs. 1,050
Dhirkot: Rs. 850
Kotli and Mirpur divisions
Palandri: Rs. 2,300 (Standard) / Rs. 800 (Short route/Alternate)
Nakyal (AC): Rs. 1,250
Baral: Rs. 1,250
Kotli (AC): Rs. 1,050
Nakyal (Non-AC): Rs. 1,000
Sarsawa: Rs. 900

Local authorities have directed transport operators to display the new rate list prominently at all terminals as they warned that strict legal action, including heavy fines and vehicle impoundment, will be taken against transporters charging more than the designated rates.
