ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued a new schedule regarding the validity and delivery of identity documents.
NADRA processes identity documents under various categories, each with a distinct delivery timeframe.
All identity documents have a fixed validity period, and eligibility criteria for obtaining them are clearly defined.
B-Form: Can be obtained by parents or legal guardians for children under the age of 18.
Its validity is structured in three stages: up to 3 years, up to 10 years, and up to the age of 18.
Delivery takes 7 days under the normal fee and 1 day under the executive category; the urgent service is not available. Juvenile Card:
For children under 18, the validity period is the same as that of the B-Form; delivery takes 31 days (normal), 23 days (urgent), and 9 days (executive).
Identity Card and Smart Identity Card:For individuals aged 18 and above, the validity is 10 years, extending to a lifetime validity after the age of 60.
Standard identity cards are delivered in 15 days (normal), 12 days (urgent), and 6 days (executive), while smart cards are delivered in 31 days (normal), 23 days (urgent), and 9 days (executive).
NICOP: Validity of 10 years for overseas Pakistani citizens; delivery in 31, 23, or 9 days.
POC: For foreign nationals of Pakistani origin; validity of 5 to 7 years; delivery in 31, 23, or 9 days. Family
Registration Certificate: Any family member over the age of 18 can register the family; it is issued urgently within 24 hours.
Cancellation Certificate: Issued to a blood relative of the deceased at the normal fee within just 2 days.
