MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): A meeting of Union Council Jhandgran was held in Muzaffarabad, led by Advocate Ch Muhammad Ijaz Iqbal, to discuss concerns regarding the recent decision of the Chief Justice of the Azad Kashmir High Court to transfer Court No. 03 from District Courts to Dana.

Kashmir Digital learnt that representatives expressed strong concerns about the feasibility of traveling to Dana for legal proceedings, citing Muzaffarabad as a more accessible option.

Advocate Ch Muhammad Iqbal said that it is neither geographically nor practically feasible for the residents of UC Jhandgran to travel to Dana for legal proceedings.

The meeting was conducted to inform the President & Prime Minister Azad Kashmir of their justified legal demands and the need for a change in court jurisdiction to facilitate easier access to justice for the residents of UC Jhandgran.

The meeting unanimously decided to request that UC Jhandgran be affiliated with Civil Judge Court No. 02, PS Garhi Dupatta, instead of its current affiliation with Court No. III and PS Chakar.
