MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Food Authority Muzaffarabad conducted an operation in Ambor Bazaar and destroyed substandard food items.
The quality of oil, juices, water, spices, and other beverages was checked using a mobile food testing laboratory. Substandard oil used in the preparation of food was destroyed on the spot.
According to details, Assistant Food Safety Officers Syed Qadeer Hussain Shah and Zia Javed, along with the Food Technologist and team, inspected general and grocery stores, bakeries, and hotels in Ambor Bazaar.
Quality of food items
The quality of food items, cleanliness, and adherence to food safety SOPs were reviewed. During the operation, samples of oil, juices, spices, and water were collected and analyzed on the spot by a mobile food testing laboratory, where oil was declared harmful to health and destroyed.
Corrective notices were issued to food business operators for poor hygiene arrangements at hotels, bakeries, and other food points, and instructions were given to improve the quality of food items, including the hygiene system.
