RABAT, Morocco (Kashmir English): Moroccan female footballer Faten bin Omar Al-Azizi lost her life while attempting to reach the Spanish region of Ceuta.
She drowned in the sea while attempting to reach Europe.
According to local media reports, the sudden death of Faten bin Omar Al-Azizi, who represented Moghreb Atletico Tetouan in the past, has left the Morocco football circles, especially Tangier, in mourning.
According to reports, Faten Al-Azizi was trying to reach Ceuta via a dangerous sea route, however, she lost her life in an during the journey.
According to a local news agency, this tragic incident occurred at a time when there has been a significant surge in illegal attempts to travel from northern Morocco to Ceuta in recent days. Bad sea conditions took several lives on this dangerous route.
