LAHORE (Kashmir English): The Meteorological Department has predicted more rain in different parts of the country, while moderate flooding continues at Kalabagh in the Indus River.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain at a few places in northeastern Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir and adjacent hilly areas after this afternoon.
The weather is expected to be pleasant in some areas due to rain; however, citizens have been instructed to take precautionary measures in view of the weather situation.
On the other hand, moderate flooding continues at Kalabagh in the Indus River. According to the Flood Forecasting Division, Lahore, the inflow of water into the Indus River at Kalabagh has been recorded at 398,000 cusecs.
According to the report, there is also low-level flooding at Chashma Barrage, Taunsa, Guddu and Sukkur Barrage; however, the water situation in other rivers of the country is normal.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to remain hot and dry in the federal capital Islamabad today, while the weather will remain partly cloudy. The maximum temperature in the city can reach 35 degrees Celsius.
The weather in Karachi is predicted to be partly cloudy and humid, while drizzle is likely in some areas of the city. According to the Meteorological Department, the current temperature in Karachi has been recorded at 28 degrees Celsius.
