TRABZON (Kashmir English): A photograph of Egyptian football star Mohamed Salah has turned a scenic valley in Turkey into a popular attraction for football fans.
According to Gulf News, Salah visited Kurt Deresi Valley in Trabzon during a recent trip to Turkey. The footballer sat on a rock for a photograph and later shared the picture on social media.
The image quickly attracted Turkish football fans to the location, with many visiting the valley to see the rock where Salah had sat. Fans also posed on the rock and recorded photos and videos.
The growing number of visitors has brought increased activity to the area, with food and beverage stalls reportedly emerging around the site. Locals have also begun associating the valley with the Egyptian star.
The rock has reportedly been nicknamed “Salah Tashi”, while a sign reading “Salah Plateau” has been installed at the site.
Salah, 34, joined Turkish club Trabzonspor this year after spending nine years at Liverpool. He reportedly signed a two-year contract with an annual salary of €17 million, which has been described as the highest in the Turkish Super League.
During his Liverpool career, Salah won several major honours, including the Premier League and UEFA Champions League.
