LAHORE (Kashmir English): Rains are likely to start in Lahore from tomorrow, while the air pollution situation remains worrisome. According to the Meteorological Department, the current temperature has been recorded at 19 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Department says that the wind speed was recorded at 2 kilometers per hour, while the humidity in the air is 47 percent. There is a possibility of up to 30 percent rain in the city from tomorrow, which is expected to bring a pleasant change in the weather.
The Meteorological Department has shown the possibility of rain in the upper areas of the country in late February and early March. On the other hand, there has been an increase in air pollution, with the city’s overall Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 267, after which Lahore has come fourth in the list of most polluted cities.
The AQI rate was recorded at 288 in the CAPR office, the rate remained at 257 in Model Town, 267 in DHA Phase Five, while the pollution rate was noted at 234 in the Civil Secretariat.
Health experts have advised citizens to avoid leaving their homes unnecessarily, especially children, the elderly, and people with respiratory diseases. According to medical experts, staying in polluted air for a long time can lead to respiratory and eye diseases.
