KARACHI (Kashmir English): Master Changan has announced the official price of its new vehicle Deepal (Deepal s05) in Pakistan, which has been introduced in the market as a new Range Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV).
This vehicle is now offered to Pakistani customers for the first time after a successful launch in China under the name SUV 2024.
This is the first vehicle from Deepal to include a combustion engine; however, this engine only acts as a generator, not directly driving the vehicle.
The range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) is a vehicle based on such technology in which the electric motor drives the wheels while the engine is used only to charge the battery.
It differs from PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle), as in PHEV both the engine and the motor can drive the vehicle, while in REEV, the role of the engine is only to generate electricity.
Deepal S05 Price in Pakistan
According to Master Changan, the Deepal S05 has been priced at Rs. 9,999,000. This model is being considered a new and innovative addition to the growing electric vehicle market in Pakistan.
