MIRPUR (Kashmir English): A grand ceremony and a special blood donation camp were arranged at the Divisional Headquarters Teaching Hospital Mirpur to mark the 1st anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, paying rich tribute to the Pakistan Army on the completion of one year of the successful ‘Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos’ of the Pakistan Army.
The ceremony, chaired by Medical Superintendent Dr. Ijaz Ahmed, was especially attended by Senior Superintendent of Police Khurram Iqbal, Principal Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Medical College Professor Dr. Faisal Bashir, District Health Officer Fida Hussain Raja, Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr. Maria Zulfiqar, Additional Medical Superintendent Dr. Owais Zahid and others.
Faculty members, doctors, nurses, paramedics and other employees participated in the ceremony in large numbers.
During the ceremony, tribute was paid to the eternal sacrifices and services of valiant armed forces of Pakistan for making the defence of the beloved homeland invincible.
The participants reiterated their resolve to continue playing their full role at every level for the security, national unity and stability of the country and to stand by the side of the Pakistan Army to defend the beloved homeland.
The participants raised slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ and ‘Pak Fauj Zindabad’. Hospital employees and people from civil society actively participated in the special blood donation.

The participants described this act of Blood donation as a symbol of national spirit, service to ailing humanity and solidarity with the martyrs.
Describing the blood camp as an important part of the ceremony, speakers resolved that the spirit of saving the lives of needy patients and serving humanity would continue to be further promoted.
Participants offered special prayers for the security, development, prosperity of the country and the high ranks of the martyrs in heaven.
