MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission has announced that it will provide the voter list in soft form to all political parties and the public to ensure transparency for the 2026 general elections.

According to a press release issued by the Secretary Election Commission on Wednesday, the process of preparing the voter list began on March 18, 2026, and new registrations and corrections are underway based on the final list of 2022.

In the past, allegations of rigging were made due to lack of access to the list, so now, during the preparation, every person will be given the opportunity to check their details and point out errors.

The Election Commission has instructed all District Election Commissioners to ensure this process so that public confidence in the electoral process increases and the 2026 elections are more transparent.
