QUETTA (Kashmir English): A Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) militant named Habibullah, arrested during a security operation in Balochistan, has made an important revelation during interrogation.

The suspect Habibullah is a resident of the Sirandoh area of Aranji Tehsil in Khuzdar district.

The militant claimed he was recruited through financial incentives and false promises before being taken to Chanal Dasht for ideological indoctrination and later to the Sargarh camp, where he received training in the use of weapons, explosives and ambush tactics.

Security sources said the suspect claimed he was also instructed on concealing his identity and escaping after attacks. He told investigators that he participated in militant activities in exchange for financial payments, including Rs25,000 following operations in Khuzdar and Bela.

According to the reported confession, Habibullah said that he was identified during protests linked by authorities to the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) and was later tasked with transporting weapons, ammunition, explosives, food and medicines to militant groups.

He further added involvement in attacks in Sinaro Camp, Khuzdar, Nal and Bela.

The suspect also said that many recruits joined the organization due to unemployment and that members were prevented from leaving under threat of death.

He further noted that conditions inside militant camps were poor and that fighters often relied on looting nearby villages for supplies.

According to security analysts, the confessional statement of the arrested terrorist has once again made it clear that Fitna-ul-Hindustan is involved in terrorism in Balochistan.
