PESHAWAR (Kashmir English): Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar on Thursday announced the results of the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026, with a success rate of 66 percent.
According to a KMU spokesperson, a total of 38,845 candidates had applied for MDCAT, out of which 37,747 students appeared in the exam, while the overall success rate was 66%.
Muhammad Hassan, roll number 6750428, secured the first position, scoring a full 180 marks, followed by Shariq Noor, securing the second position with 179 marks, and Muhammad Mujeeb secured the third position with 179 marks.
As per the result, a total of 1,926 candidates scored between 170 and 180 marks.
“Candidates who score 55 percent or more in MDCAT 2026 will be eligible to apply for admission to MBBS, while those who score 50 percent or more will be eligible to apply for admission to BDS,” it said.
However, the admission process will be completed as per the relevant rules and regulations, merit, and available seats.
According to the KMU administration, the results of MDCAT have been compiled under the prescribed procedure, while candidates can check their results on the university’s online portal.
In a statement, KMU expressed gratitude to all the relevant institutions, district administration, police, examination staff, and other stakeholders who cooperated in the successful conduct of MDCAT 2026 and the timely preparation of results.
