MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Jammu and Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee has announced a protest in Muzaffarabad on Saturday, June 28, demanding various concessions from the government.
In a meeting today, the committee has decided that the protesters will gather at Aziz Chowk and march towards the Muzaffarabad Grid Station.
The statement issued on Wednesday demanded the immediate restoration of connections that were cut off in violation of agreements and the elimination of voltage shortages and unannounced load shedding.
The action committee stated that action should be taken against officials involved in corruption, including those involved in counterfeit medicines and dismantling the Cardiac Hospital. They have put forward the demand for the complete restoration of the Cardiac Hospital.
The meeting also demanded the restoration of SHO Raja Sohail and action against those involved in the sexual harassment scandal.
The committee also demands the sprinkling of water on Lohargali Road, the elimination of double standards, and the resolution of internet problems.
They further demanded that the government eliminate all FIRs filed against JAAC supporters, and character certificates should be issued to the youth.
