MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Member Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) Shaukat Nawaz Mir has said that he was grateful to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for the agreement.
In a press conference soon after the agreement was reached, Shaukat Nawaz Mir said that he was also grateful to the committee members and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif who took notice from abroad and sent a delegation in AJK.
He said that initially there was a deadlock in the negotiations, but the intentions from both sides were good, and we sat down again and the matter was resolved, adding he was grateful to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
He said, “This was our internal matter, no country needs to interfere, we know how to resolve matters better, police personnel are our brothers, they came to do their job, we will not support violent incidents”.
Mir hoped that the things agreed upon will be implemented and there will be no chaos again.
