Iranian FM Araghchi, Field Marshal Asim Munir explore options to resolve ME conflict

TEHRAN (Kashmir English): Iranian state television has reported that the first round of Iran-Pakistan talks revolving around the Middle East peace deal was held in Tehran between Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Field Marshal Asim Munir.

The state media reported that further discussions are expected as mediators review messages exchanged between Iran and the United States.

Field Marshal lands in Iran

According to the ISPR, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir arrived in Iran’s capital, Tehran, along with a high-level delegation on Wednesday amid the ongoing mediation efforts to end the US-Iran conflict.

According to the Inter–Services Public Relations (ISPR), the delegation also includes the Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

“COAS and CDF Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Mohsin Naqvi, Interior Minister, along with the delegation, arrive at Tehran as part of the ongoing mediation efforts,” the military’s media wing said.
