MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Mobile internet services have been restored in the state capital, Muzaffarabad, and the Jhelum Valley district.
The restoration of internet services will help citizens maintain online communications, use social media, exchange information, and access various other digital services.
This restoration will assist students, journalists, business owners, freelancers, and professionals from other sectors in carrying out their daily activities.
However, an official statement or further details from the relevant authorities regarding this restoration are still awaited.
It should be noted that the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir had announced the restoration of mobile internet in Muzaffarabad within 48 hours. Prior to this, only DSL (broadband) internet services were available to users in the capital.

Mobile internet services had been suspended in several areas of Azad Kashmir—including the state capital, Muzaffarabad—on the night between June 5 and June 6. Consequently, mobile internet services have been restored after a period of approximately four and a half months.
Following the restoration of DSL services, residents of the capital, Muzaffarabad, had been demanding the restoration of mobile internet, citing a return to normalcy.
Before this, and in line with the Prime Minister’s announcement, internet services had already been restored in the Neelum Valley, Mirpur, and Kotli. The government has appealed to the public to exercise responsibility in their use of internet services.
