SAMAHNI (Kashmir Digital): Former AJK Legislative Assembly candidate and Istehkam Pakistan Party (IPP) central leader Ali Shan Soni has criticised Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman over remarks against the Pakistan Armed Forces and national security institutions.
In a video statement, Soni condemned the JUI-F chief’s criticism and said the Pakistan Armed Forces had contributed to the country’s standing internationally and made sacrifices against terrorism.
He added that Fazlur Rehman targets state institutions when out of power and supports them when he is in power.
He also referred to Pakistan’s military response to India last year, claiming that the country’s actions helped avert a wider conflict. He further praised Pakistan’s diplomatic role in promoting peace in the Middle East.
Soni said military personnel continued to make sacrifices in protecting the country’s borders. He accused Fazlur Rehman of pursuing a political narrative against state institutions for political gain.
