ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan’s security and diplomatic circles have expressed serious concern over what they describe as a growing India–Israel alignment aimed at undermining Pakistan’s internal and regional security.
According to analysts, India is pursuing a new phase of its alleged anti-Pakistan strategy by expanding diplomatic and intelligence engagement in Afghanistan, taking advantage of changing ground realities.
Observers claim New Delhi is attempting to use Afghan territory, through militant proxies, to destabilize Pakistan.
Security experts note that India, which previously dismissed the Taliban as a “Pakistani proxy,” has now upgraded its presence in Kabul from a limited technical mission to full diplomatic engagement.
This shift, analysts say, contradicts India’s claim that its role in Afghanistan is limited to humanitarian assistance.
Concerns have further intensified following the recent visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Israel. Analysts believe that expanding defense and intelligence cooperation between India and Israel could extend beyond bilateral interests and be used as leverage against Pakistan, allegedly with the involvement of regional proxies.
Pakistan has previously highlighted evidence of Indian involvement in subversive activities, including the Kulbhushan Jadhav case, which officials cite as proof of foreign-sponsored networks operating against Pakistan from neighboring territories.
Regional security analysts describe the emerging India–Israel–Afghanistan engagement as a new alignment of anti-Pakistan forces, warning that such actions could destabilize the wider region. They argue that the use of Afghan soil for hostile activities threatens regional peace and could have far-reaching consequences.
Pakistani officials maintain that the country has repeatedly warned against the misuse of Afghan territory for anti-Pakistan operations. They stress that Pakistan’s people and security institutions remain capable of responding effectively to any imposed conflict, regardless of external support or military alliances against it.
