MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Liaqat Ali Malik, visited Madina Market, one of the busiest business centers of Muzaffarabad, where he met members of the business community and reviewed the overall situation in the city.
During the visit, the AJK Police chief toured various shops and interacted with traders.
On this occasion, the business community welcomed the visit of the IG Police. He discussed business activities and the overall situation with them.
This visit is being considered a clear message that business activities are continuing as usual in the main business centers of Muzaffarabad, and normal life has been restored in the city.
Speaking on the occasion, IG Police Liaquat Malik said that the people of AJK had rejected elements seeking to create unrest and had demonstrated their commitment to peace and stability.
“All Kashmiris are patriots and love Pakistan,” he said, adding that the brave people of Azad Kashmir have rejected any kind of anarchic group, and traders have reopened their shops voluntarily.
“This region is a cradle of peace, tolerance, and love, and the people will not allow any armed group or anarchic group to attack the peace here,” IG AJK concluded.
