MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Faisal Mumtaz Rathore has announced that if he is defeated from his own constituency, he will never contest an election again in entire life.

He said there is no position higher than the office of Prime Minister, and after this, no desire for any other political office remains.

“I have upheld my promises throughout my life, my agreement with the Kashmiri families remains intact, and I will continue the journey of service after winning the election.”

Addressing an election rally in Kalamula, a part of the Haveli Forward Kahuta constituency, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore said that Allah has given him the opportunity to serve the state, and that he is trying to fulfill this responsibility through public welfare.

He said that becoming Prime Minister is not just a result of hard work but the outcome of Allah’s grace and the people’s trust.

He said that unfortunately, society has been divided on the basis of brotherhood, tribe, and families, even though this division is the biggest obstacle in the way of development.

He stated that a person’s true identity should be based on their character, service, and region, and not on brotherhood or tribe.

The Prime Minister said that he took over the government in extremely difficult political circumstances; at a time when political tension in the state was at its peak and hatred was being spread, however, “I declared peace, development, and public service in the state my top priority”.

He said that during the last few months, developmental works were started across the state, educational projects were initiated, issues of various government employees were resolved, and the hopes of those classes who were victims of despair were restored.

He said that the path of dialogue was also adopted with the Joint Awami Action Committee so that issues could be resolved through mutual understanding.

Faisal Mumtaz Rathore said that the Joint Awami Action Committee is still protesting, but despite severe criticism, he adopted the path of dialogue, their voice was heard, and efforts for negotiations between the government and the Action Committee are still ongoing.

He stated that his government has always adopted a policy of resolving issues through dialogue instead of confrontation so that public problems could be settled amicably.

Faisal Mumtaz Rathore said that today people from across the state are turning towards the Prime Minister House for the solution of their problems, and the political importance of the people of Haveli has increased more than ever before.

He stated that if in such circumstances the people made a decision based only on brotherhood or personal differences, it would be harmful for the entire region.

He said that he has no personal differences even with his opponents, and always upheld promises and followed this same principle in politics.

The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir said that record developmental projects for Haveli were included in the assembly budget.

He was told that other members of the Assembly might object to so many projects for a single constituency, however, he made it clear that he did not get this work done because of being Prime Minister, but because it was the right of the people of his constituency.

He said that work is ongoing in his constituency on Daanish School, road construction, a university, approval of dozens of schools, a science college, and other developmental projects.

Millions of rupees are also being spent on a Basic Health Unit, various government school buildings, roads, bridges, and other projects in Kalamula Union Council, while several developmental schemes are also being completed through local governments.

Faisal Mumtaz Rathore said that this election is not about his person, but an election for the future, development, and dignity of Haveli.

He appealed to the public to decide thoughtfully so that the series of development projects continues.
