Heavy rain, hailstorm hit upper Neelum Valley

NEELUM VALLEY (Kashmir English): Heavy rainfall hailstrom has made the weather pleasant in Neelum Valley. The rain has provided the much-needed relief to the residents after days of harsh, hot weather.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), mainly hot and dry weather is expected over most parts of the country, while very hot in Balochistan and Sindh.

Partly cloudy weather accompanied by windstorm-rain/thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Islamabad, and Punjab during the evening/night.

For the past 24 hours, Hot and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country, with very hot weather in plain areas. However, rain-thunderstorm accompanied by gusty winds occurred at isolated places in northeast Balochistan and south Punjab.

Rainfall (mm): Balochistan: Barkhan 14, Loralai 03, Punjab: Rajanpur (Mari) 07, and D.G. Khan (Fort Munro) 05. Yesterday’s Recorded Highest Maximum Temperatures (°C): Nokkundi 49, Sibbi, and Dalbandin 47.

The Met Office also stated that on Wednesday (Tomorrow), partly cloudy weather with rain-windstorm/thunderstorm is expected in Islamabad and its surroundings. Heavyfalls/hailstorms may also occur at a few places during the period.
