ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Ministry of Religious Affairs has amended the timelines for application submission for Hajj 2027, setting a new starting date. The new start date is now August 18 versus the previously announced August 17.

According to the sources of the Ministry, the applications and payments will be made on the first come first serve basis through Habib Bank branches until the approved quota of seats gets filled.

No new applications will be entertained after the maximum number of attendees is achieved. Pakistan’s quota for conducting Hajj this year stands at 179,210.

The Pakistani government has reserved its share of Hajj seats amounting to 60% or 107,526. The balance 40% or 71,684 Hajj seats have been allotted to the private sector.

The sources have revealed that the Hajj fees will be received in two separate instalments, and one can pay the first part while applying only. The company has also confirmed that the new category of applicants – those with Pakistan Origin Card – will be allowed to apply this year. There will be 1% of total seats allocated for POC holders for Hajj in 2027.
