PESHAWAR (Kashmir English): Authorities have rejected a fake notification circulating on social media that claimed that summer vacations in educational institutions across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have been extended until August 31.
A fake notification was issued yesterday in the name of the Education Department in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, stating that due to heavy rains and a heat wave, the summer vacation in educational institutions is being extended till August 31.
The notification further states that educational institutions will reopen after the summer vacation on September 1, 2026.
This notification circulating on social media includes the Education Department’s name, official formatting, and other details.
The notification, which went viral on social media, confused students, their parents, and administrators of educational institutions.
However, the Elementary and Secondary Education Department has put an end to this confusion.
The Elementary and Secondary Education Department has termed the viral notification as fake and asked the public not to trust the document shared on social media platforms or spread it further.
It should be noted that the summer vacations in middle, high and higher secondary schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are ending today, and schools will open as usual from today, August 17.
