ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Power Division has introduced a new and simplified electricity bill format across the country to facilitate consumers.

Distribution companies (DISCOs), on the instructions of the Ministry of Energy, have issued the redesigned bill format.

The new design makes it easier for consumers to understand their electricity bills. Users can now clearly see their consumption, bill details, and payment information.

According to a spokesperson for the Power Division, the new format has been developed with a focus on simplicity, transparency, and improved user experience.

He said the bill structure was completely redesigned after complaints from consumers. Officials said the old bill was difficult to understand due to unnecessary information, technical terms, and a complex layout.

In the new format, the amount, due date, and electricity usage details are clearly highlighted. Consumers can now understand their complete billing status at a glance.

The new format has been made more user-friendly for all sections of society. It also includes a QR code, allowing quick access to additional information and digital services.

The Power Division spokesperson added that the new billing system was developed in consultation with consumers and stakeholders. He said reforms in the power sector will continue to improve transparency and service delivery.
