ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government increased diesel prices, and petrol prices have been maintained at the same levels across the country for the next fortnight, effective from Sunday, December 01, 2025.
The government has announced a cut in the prices of petroleum products, which is surely a piece of good news for the citizens who are already battling inflation. It has reduced the price of petroleum products by Rs 4.79.
As per the formal notification, the new price of high-speed diesel was set at Rs 279.65 per liter, while the price of petrol declined by Rs 2 to reach its new price of Rs 263.45 per liter.
The Petroleum Division, in this regard, issued a notification to implement these changes starting at midnight tonight, and the new prices would remain in effect for the next 15 days.
Citizens are of the view that it will provide relief to their financial burden as pertaining to daily needs.
