ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): On Wednesday, in Pakistan, gold experienced yet another decline on the price front. The previous two days saw the prices of gold remaining stable; the same had played out in the global bullion marketplace.
As per the report of the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), a tola of 24-karat gold saw a drop of Rs. 3,700, with the final cost standing at Rs. 458,236.
The rate for Rs. 10-gramme 24-karat gold dropped by Rs. 3,172 to Rs. 392,863. The silver sector also experienced a downtrend, with one tola of the precious white metal costing Rs. 186 lower at Rs. 6,800.

Meanwhile, the gold rates on the international market showed a dip of $37, with the metal priced at $4,358 per ounce. Nonetheless, the international market remained volatile, with it at $4,359.58 an ounce later, owing to the lower US Treasury yield and the anticipation for the next meeting of the Federal Reserve regarding the rates.
This month has been turbulent for gold in Pakistan. As an example, the local price, which stood at Rs. 463,936 per tola on August 12, dropped to Rs. 460,436 in the following 24 hours.
