KARACHI (Kashmir English): The gold prices witnessed a fall in Pakistan on Saturday, in accordance with the changes in the international gold market due to variations in global economic circumstances.
The cost of 24-karat gold per tola was reduced by Rs400 to Rs493,662 from Rs494,062 in the preceding session, according to the rates quoted by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Likewise, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold experienced a fall of Rs343 to Rs423,235 from Rs423,578.
Internationally, there was also a decline in the cost of gold by $4 per ounce, resulting in the price dropping to $4,713 from the preceding $4,717. However, the price of silver per tola also recorded a fall of Rs12 to Rs8,513 from Rs8,525.
The reasons for the fluctuation in the price of precious metals were linked to the alterations in global geopolitics, especially the US-Iran situation and other economic factors.
