BANNU (Kashmir English): Security forces have foiled a suicide attack on Miryan Police Station in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district, killing four militants belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij on Wednesday.
According to the security sources, terrorists tried to attack the Miryan station using a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device. However, due to a swift response, police intercepted the vehicle before it reached the target.
Following the explosion, the terrorists attempted to enter the facility, but their attempt was successfully thwarted.
Four Khwarij were eliminated during the failed attack, while security forces immediately cordoned off the area and launched a clearance operation.
