ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s decisive role in the ceasefire between the US and Iran and the arrival of US Vice President JD Vance in Islamabad have caused a wave of mourning in India and its ‘Godi media’.

To erase its shame, the Indian media is resorting to baseless anti-Pakistan propaganda and fabricated questions, on which former US diplomat Jeffrey Gunter has shown the mirror by calling the Indian anchor very lazy during a live TV interview.

It should be noted that during a live show, when the anchor tried to raise a ‘stupid’ question regarding the security of US Vice President JD Vance in Islamabad, Jeffrey Gunter got angry and rebuked the anchor and said that ‘the US Vice President is completely safe in Pakistan’.

He said that the Indian media is currently showing childish behavior like school children, which is very sad. “This is not a matter of India-Pakistan conflict but of solving human lives, jobs, and the global crisis of expensive petrol, which the Indian media is trying to sabotage,” Gunter added.

Jeffrey Gunter, while describing the behavior of the Indian media as “shameful”, even said that “I would like to lock the Indian media (representatives) in a room for 30 minutes as a punishment for this behavior so that they realize their mistake.”

He suggested that instead of useless discussions, the Indian media should appreciate this global peace effort. Experts say that these talks, to be held on April 11, 2026, have proven to be a major diplomatic defeat for the Modi government, because despite the anti-Pakistan propaganda, India has become isolated on the global stage, and the international community is expressing full confidence in Pakistan’s mediation.

Indian media, especially ‘Godi Media’, often tries to paint Pakistan’s positive role in international forums in a negative light; however, Pakistan’s key position in the recent US-Iran conflict has badly failed the Indian narrative.

This statement by an esteemed diplomat like Jeffrey Gunter is proof that now the international community is considering the ‘Pakistanphobia’ of the Indian media as an obstacle to peace instead of taking it seriously.

This is not the first time that US officials have expressed confidence in Pakistan’s security and diplomatic capabilities, but such humiliation of the Indian media in a live show is an unusual incident.
