US Vice President JD Vance lands in Islamabad ahead of Iran talks

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): A high-level United States delegation, led by US Vice President JD Vance, arrived in Islamabad on Saturday morning for talks with Iran, the Foreign Office spokesperson said.

Special Envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner also landed in the federal capital today to participate in the Islamabad Talks.

The US delegation was received by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Minister for Interior Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi upon arrival, the FO said.

Welcoming the US Vice President, the Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar commended the US commitment to achieving lasting regional and global peace and stability.

Dar expressed the hope that parties would engage constructively and reiterated Pakistan’s desire to continue facilitating the parties towards reaching a lasting and durable solution to the conflict.
