ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Flour prices continue to rise across Pakistan, with Karachi recording the highest price for a 20-kilogram bag, according to the latest report issued by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
The report showed that the price of a 20kg bag of flour in Karachi has increased by Rs 200, reaching Rs 3,200, making it the most expensive among the cities covered in the report.
In Islamabad, a 20kg flour bag is being sold for Rs3,093, while the price has reached Rs3,100 in Peshawar and Rs3,067 in Rawalpindi.
The price of a 20kg bag stands at Rs2,940 in Hyderabad and Rs2,900 in Bannu, according to the report.
In Quetta, the same quantity of flour is priced at Rs2,850, while consumers in Sargodha, Multan, Sialkot and Gujranwala are paying around Rs2,800 for a 20kg bag.
The price has reached Rs 2,740 in Bahawalpur and Rs 2,700 in Larkana and Khuzdar.
Meanwhile, a 20kg bag of flour is available for Rs 2,500 in Sukkur, Rs 2,300 in Lahore, and Rs 2,200 in Faisalabad, the lowest price among the listed cities.
