ISLAMABADC(Kashmir English): In a recent development, five ministers from the Barriester Group joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and assured to support the party’s candidate for the Prime Minister election.
According to the details, the in-charge of political affairs of the PPP Azad Kashmir, Ms. Faryal Talpur, was met by ministers from the Barrister Sultan Group, Yasir Sultan, Chaudhry Arshad, Chaudhry Rashid, Chaudhry Akhlaq, and Sardar Muhammad Hussain, and announced to join the party.
Senior PPP leader Chaudhry Muhammad Riaz was also present on the occasion. Ms. Faryal Talpur warmly welcomed the newcomers to the PPP and expressed confidence that their joining would further strengthen the party’s position in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
She said that the PPP has always been the true representative of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
She added that PPP will continue to support the Kashmiri people and their struggle for their political and economic rights under the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and President Asif Ali Zardari.
The newly inducted leaders expressed full confidence in the party’s leadership.
The newly joined members pledged to play an active role in advancing the party’s mission of democracy, development, and public service in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
