RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): Due to the call for a sit-in, hotels that had been closed for several days in the Faizabad area of Rawalpindi have been allowed to open, and metro, green bus, and blue bus services have also been restored.
Rawalpindi, hotels that had been closed for several days have been allowed to open as part of security measures.
The police and district administration have allowed hotels located within the limits of the New Town police station to open until October 2.
In view of the PTI’s long march on Murree Road, Faizabad, security arrangements are still in place and containers are still present at some places; however, all routes are open for traffic and transportation is continuing as usual.
Faizabad’s bus stands also remained open, however, due to limited inter-provincial transport, business activities in the area remained affected for several days.
Due to the closure of hotels and lack of transport, business activities in Faizabad decreased and the area remained relatively deserted.
After hotels were allowed to open, business activities in Faizabad have begun to resume. On the other hand, educational institutions in Rawalpindi remained open as usual, while the green bus and blue bus services, along with the metro bus service, also resumed.
