BIRMINGHAM (Kashmir English): England defeated Pakistan by eight wickets in the third and final Test at Edgbaston to complete a 3-0 series clean sweep.
Chasing a modest target of 130 runs, England reached 130-2, with Joe Root unbeaten on 60 and Jordan Cox scoring 54 to guide the hosts to a comfortable victory.
Pakistan had earlier been bowled out for 133 in their first innings before England posted 453, taking a commanding 320-run lead.
Pakistan fought back strongly in their second innings, scoring 449 to set England a target of 130. Shan Masood scored 95, Babar Azam made 76 and debutant Razaullah produced a sensational 81 off 63 balls, including nine sixes.
