LONDON (Kashmir English): Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen has been appointed as the specialist mentor for the England men’s white-ball team.
The England Cricket Board has announced the appointment of Kevin Pietersen as a mentor. Pietersen will join the team to prepare for next year’s ICC World Cup.
The ECB statement said that Kevin Pietersen will take charge of the white-ball series against Sri Lanka, alongside Brendon McCullum.
According to the English Cricket Board, Kevin Pietersen will remain associated with the team during its tours of Australia and South Africa. Pietersen will also be with the team in the home series against Pakistan and New Zealand.
Kevin Pietersen says that I am proud to have been offered the opportunity to help the England team win the World Cup. Wearing the England uniform again after 2014 is a special moment for me.
