NEW YORK Kashmir English): Social media platform X has announced a new revenue system for content creators around the world.

The aim is to provide financial benefits to original content creators by discouraging copied, stolen, and substandard content.

According to the notification sent by X to creators, the new system has been named the Original Content Rewards Program.

According to the company, the current AIDS Revenue Sharing Program will be completely terminated on September 7, 2026, while applications for the new Original Content Rewards Program will begin on September 8, 2026.

X has clarified that users whose identity verification is already complete and a payment method is linked will not need to complete these steps again. Such users will be able to check their eligibility at any time by going to their Creator Studio.

After the launch of X’s monetization in other countries, including Pakistan, there was a flood of copied content on the platform.

Several accounts started sharing a large number of videos and posts to generate revenue, while some accounts were cutting video clips from live broadcasts of TV channels and immediately uploading them to X.

In addition, viral videos from other platforms, including TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, were also being reposted on X.

Due to this situation, the difference between original and copied content became prominent on X’s feed and questions were raised regarding the financial benefits provided to genuine content creators on the platform.

According to the report, X aims to discourage content that is copied from other platforms or sources and posted only to generate engagement and revenue.
