MIRPUR (Kashmir English): The Commissioner Mirpur Division has formed inquiry committees in Mirpur, Kotli, and Bhimber districts to probe complaints against local agents allegedly involved in visa fraud and money scams.
The official notification said that several complaints have been made against people who presented themselves as visa consultants or overseas employment agents, cheating citizens by offering them foreign visas and demanding huge amounts of money.
In order to check this malpractice, divisional and district-level committees have been constituted to make detailed inquiries and audits of the activities of such agents.
The committees will be composed of officers of the administration, police, and other departments concerned.
Every committee has been instructed to finalize its investigation and submit a detailed report to the Commissioner’s Office by October 31, 2025.
