KHUIRATTA (Kashmir English): A one-day “Cleanliness Day” was observed with enthusiasm at Government Boys Middle School Phin, Khuiratta, with the aim of creating awareness among students about the importance of cleanliness and a healthy environment.
Teachers and students actively participated in the event. The special guest on the occasion was Barrister Masood Kallis, candidate for the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Assembly constituency of Khuiratta, who joined the students in the cleanliness campaign.
Under the supervision of the teachers, the students collected garbage from the school and its surroundings, put it in the dustbin, and gave a practical demonstration of making the environment clean.
On this occasion, special banners were also displayed to highlight the importance of cleanliness, and students were advised to maintain cleanliness.
A ceremony was also organized in connection with the Day of Cleanliness, in which the Principal of Government Boys Middle School, Muhammad Akram Ansari, Elementary Teacher Aqib Tufail, Hafiz Azam Naqshbandi, Qari Abid Mahmood, Haleem Ahmed, Israr Ahmed, Muhammad Shiraz, and other teachers, as well as a large number of students, participated.
Addressing the ceremony, the special guest, Barrister Masood Kallis, said that “Cleanliness is half of faith” and a civilized society is recognized by its clean environment. He said that we should keep our educational institutions, homes, and neighborhoods clean so that we can stay safe from diseases.
Kallis said that cleanliness is not just a one-day activity but should be made a part of our daily lives.
In his address, Head Teacher Muhammad Akram Ansari said that it is the responsibility of teachers to impart moral training to students as well as to make them aware of social responsibilities. He said that such activities promote discipline, cooperation, and a sense of responsibility among students.
At the end of the ceremony, the students’ passion and hard work were appreciated, and a determination was expressed that such programs will continue to be organized in the future so that the message of cleanliness and environmental protection can be spread.
