KOTLI (Kashmir English): A delegation of officers undergoing training under the 52nd Common Training Program of the Civil Services Academy Lahore visited Kotli district as part of their military affiliation program.
The officers were warmly welcomed by Deputy Commissioner Kotli, Major (R) Nasir Rafique, Superintendent of Police Adeel Ahmed Langrial, and Additional Deputy Commissioner Faiz Alam.
The officers had a detailed meeting with the Deputy Commissioner, who discussed the district administration, geographical importance, and functioning of various government institutions.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted the need for institutional coordination and informed the officers about the practical nature of government structures, public service delivery models, and inter-agency linkages at the local level.
Superintendent of Police Kotli Adeel Ahmed Langrial briefed the officers on the district police’s procedures, crime prevention, modern policing measures, and strategies to strengthen public relations.
The officers were made aware of the practical experiences, challenges, and successful models of local government in various sectors, including law and order, development planning, disaster management system, and inter-district coordination.
In addition to that, the Deputy Commissioner presented honorary shields to the officers at the end of their visit, terming their positive and educational visit as welcome.
The delegation also visited the SP office and saw the welfare house established there for the convenience of the public. Inspector Naukhiz Akhtar briefed the delegation about the various departments of the welfare house.
The delegation met with SP Adeel Ahmed Langrial, who discussed the district police’s initiatives and strategies.
