LONDON (Kashmir English): Pakistan captain Babar Azam is reportedly suffering from a high fever following the national team’s heavy 194-run defeat to England in the Lord’s Test.
Babar endured a difficult outing with the bat, managing only eight runs in the first innings and six in the second as Pakistan struggled to chase down England’s target.
Team media manager Naveed Akram Cheema confirmed that Babar is suffering from fever and said the captain himself had informed the team management about his condition.
Cheema, however, played down concerns over Babar’s health, saying there was no need for panic or alarm. He maintained that the captain was otherwise fit and was expected to recover soon.
Pressure Builds Around Pakistan Camp
The defeat was followed by major changes, including the decision to send the head coach and seven players back to Pakistan. The developments have created an atmosphere of uncertainty within the national team camp in London, with unusual silence reportedly prevailing at the team hotel.
Amid the situation, concerns have also emerged over Babar’s health. According to media reports, the Pakistan skipper developed a high fever after the match.
