BAHRAIN (Kashmir English): Pakistan defeated China in the quarter-finals of the boys’ volleyball event of the Asian Youth Games after a one-sided match to make it to the semi-finals.
In the match played at the Essa Sports City, the Green Shirts defeated China in straight sets (25-12, 25-13, 25-17) in just 53 minutes.
Pakistan had earlier defeated Mongolia, hosts Bahrain, and Uzbekistan in one-sided matches, while winning 3-1 against Saudi Arabia after a tough match.
Khizr Hayat, Muhammad Yahya, and Muhammad Anas were prominent players in this match.
Pakistan will now enter the field in the semi-finals on October 27 at 11 pm Pakistan time.
The Pakistan Volleyball Federation said in a statement on social media that this success is the result of the efforts of Pakistan Sports Board DG Muhammad Yasir Pirzada, who organized a special training camp to prepare the team.
