TOKYO (Kashmir English): Pakistan’s javelin superstar Arshad Nadeem has sent a touching letter to supporters after missing the men’s javelin final at the World Athletics Championships 2025 in Tokyo, saying that an injury had hampered his training.
“Dear Pakistanis, I want to thank each and every one of you for your unwavering support and love throughout the World Athletics Championships.
Although I couldn’t achieve the result I had hoped for in the final, I am proud to have represented our nation on the biggest stage,” Nadeem wrote in a post on X on Thursday.

“I know I let you all down, but I promise to come back stronger and work even harder to make you proud.
To be honest, I’ve been dealing with an injury since July 4th, which affected my preparation and fitness level. Despite this challenge, I gave it my all, and I appreciate the experience,” he added.
Nadeem concluded his message by pledging to “keep pushing” for Pakistan, promising to return better prepared for future competitions.
Earlier, Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem was eliminated from the medal race at the World Athletics Championships.
In the final round of the javelin competition at the ongoing World Athletics Championships in the Japanese capital Tokyo, Arshad Nadeem threw 82.73 meters on his first throw.
He was in seventh position after the first throw, but his throw was fouled in the second round.
Arshad Nadeem threw 82.75 meters in the third round, but he was eliminated from the medal race.
To remain in the medal race, Arshad Nadeem had to be in the top eight after the first three rounds.
India’s Neeraj Chopra was eliminated from the medal race with a throw of 84.03 meters.
Trinidad and Tobago’s Keshorn Walcott won the gold medal with a throw of 88.16 meters.
