RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): Mother of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir passed away here in the wee hours of Tuesday.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of mother of the Army Chief.
The prime minister, in a condolence message, prayed for elevation of ranks of the departed soul in Jannah and grant of courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with patience.
He said the entire nation stands in solidarity with the family members of the Army Chief in this moment of grief.
