RAWALAKOT (Kashmir English): Azad Jammu and Kashmir Police Spokesperson SSP Khawar Ali Shaukat, in a recent press conference, stated that armed attackers are stationed at various buildings in Rawalakot city.
SSP Khawar Ali Shaukat briefed the media on the prevailing law and order situation and the details of the attacks carried out against security personnel.
He said that the attackers had occupied different buildings in the city and were targeting security forces. “No concession will be given to these miscreants,” he said, adding that law enforcement agencies are determined to restore peace and bring those responsible to justice.
He clearly said that no concession will be given to these miscreants and the strictest action will be taken against them.
Martyrdom of Rangers personnel, recovery of modern weapons
SSP further informed that Rangers personnel have been martyred as a result of these violent attacks by miscreants. The police have taken prompt and effective action and have arrested several miscreants, and modern weapons have also been recovered from the possession of the arrested miscreants.
According to SSP Khawar Ali Shaukat, these attacks are influenced by foreign agendas. He revealed that anti-national elements are doing negative propaganda on social media at this sensitive time to spread sensation and misguidance among the public.
The police spokesperson clarified that attacks on security forces and national institutions are not acceptable in any way, and law enforcement agencies are taking full force against these armed groups.
He said that state institutions have always shown utmost patience and tolerance, but those who attack state institutions will now be dealt with an iron hand.
He further said that these mischievous elements want to affect the long-standing peace of Azad Kashmir. He vowed that the peace and order of Azad Kashmir will not be allowed to be destroyed under any circumstances and the safety of citizens will be ensured at all costs.
