MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Supreme Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has issued notices to the parties in a case challenging the appointment of Dr. Aamir Shahzad as District Health Officer (DHO) Muzaffarabad.
The case was heard by Supreme Court Judge Justice Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry via a video link.
Former DHO Muzaffarabad Dr. Mateen has challenged the appointment of Dr. Aamir Shahzad before the Supreme Court. The petitioner has also requested the court to issue a stay order in connection with the appointment.
During the hearing, Raja Khalid Advocate and Waheed Bashir Awan Advocate represented Dr. Aamir Shahzad, while Saqib Ahmed Abbasi Advocate represented the petitioner.
After hearing the preliminary arguments, the court ordered notices to be issued to the relevant parties and initiated further proceedings in the matter.
