MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Barrister Iftikhar Gilani on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the secretaries of various government departments at the Prime Minister’s Secretariat in Muzaffarabad, the Press Information Department (PID) said.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister directed the bureaucracy to start implementing the government’s 100-day reform agenda, adding that the reform agenda shows the seriousness of the central leadership of our party [PML-N] towards Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, PM Gilani said that the top priority of our government is to bring reforms in the system and create convenience and new opportunities for the common man.
“The challenges faced will be resolved with the cooperation of the bureaucracy. Our performance will be visible on the ground. There are important responsibilities on the shoulders of the bureaucracy,” he said.
The premier added that we have come to work for the people and will bring youth engagement programs.
“As unemployment is a big challenge in the state, our government will start a demand-based skill development program within the social sector,” Gilani said, adding that we will provide relief to the common man in terms of travel facilities and health facilities.
He said that the agenda of our government is the agenda of the common man, and the government will take steps on a priority basis to reduce the problems of the common man.
“We want to show the people of Azad Kashmir that we have come for their betterment.”
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Azad Kashmir Khushal Khan, Additional Chief Secretary General Zaheeruddin Qureshi, Senior Member Board of Revenue Sardar Muhammad Zafar, Principal Secretary Sardar Adnan Khurshid, and secretaries of the departments.
