MIRPUR (Kashmir English): Administration of Mirpur district in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has asked all local print, electronic and digital media representatives to play a responsible role in view of the ongoing situation in the country including Azad Jammu and Kashmir, it was officially said.
“Ever since the Pahalgam false flag operation, India has launched negative propaganda against Pakistan and Kashmiris, as a result of which the enemy might launch any adventure,” the administration warned, according to an AJK government handout issued by the district administration.
The handout continued that in this regard, any activity of terrorism or any other unpleasant incident might also occur from Indian side.
India might spread fake news through social media
“India might also try to lower the morale of the nation by spreading fake news through social media”, the district administration observed.
The administration also maintained that in order to prevent all such impending situation, the local media representatives or citizens should not share any news that strengthens Indian negative propaganda, and fake news.
The official handout further said that the district administration has decided that in view of the current situation in the country, media representatives should not believe in any kind of information other than the official handout issued by the Press Information Department of Azad Jammu Kashmir government.
Concluding, the official handout warned that the enemy was deliberately trying to spread fake news and rumours through fake cell numbers with ulterior motives to cause sensation.
It said media and common people should not to believe in any such fake information, news or rumour emerging on any of the means of social media.
