AJK High Court orders reissuance of tenders for three Bagh Road projects

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) High Court has ordered the government to re-issue the tender for three major roads in Bagh district within six weeks.

As per the details, the incumbent government had cancelled the tenders issued during the tenure of former Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, on which civial society had filed a writ petition in the High Court.

The projects include 10 km Basharat Shaheed Road in West Bagh, 5 km Dhirkot to Rangla Road and 12 km Malott to Napara Road in Central Bagh.

The Azad Kashmir High Court had also restored the 4 km road project from Ratti Gali to Tal Kiat.

Senior lawyer and Advocate Supreme Court Raja Sajjad appeared before the court on behalf of the petitioner.

After the High Court’s decision, people have pinned their hopes on the work to start on the roads soon.
