MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb on Friday said that the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) have expressed deep faith in Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and that her party will clean sweep the AJK general elections.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Kashmir Digital, senior PML-N leader Aurangzeb has expressed confidence that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will form the next government in AJK following the upcoming polls, scheduled to start on July 27.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said the overwhelming public support witnessed during the election campaign reflects the people’s trust in the party’s leadership.
“Just as I have seen the love and affection of the people of Kotli for Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz, Insha Allah, PML-N will emerge victorious in the elections and form the government,” she added.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said PML-N’s campaign is centered on development, public welfare and good governance, adding that the party remains committed to extending the same model of progress seen in Punjab to Azad Jammu and Kashmir if elected.
Her remarks are consistent with recent public statements in which she highlighted PML-N’s development agenda and expressed confidence in the party’s electoral prospects in AJK.
